When you realize firebenders cant bend lava. This movie was terrible but come on... Dev Patel tried his best. He may have been miscast but he actually did a good job.

 

My friend gave me this for my 7th birthday, Im 14 and still havent watched it. I'm ong lmao wtf its Aang and whyyy did they just decide to make zuko's scar tinier than Peeta's wound in the hunger games movies. What happened to kataras hair loopies. What happened to sokka's accent. Don't flatter yourself. you were NEVER even a player! Azula. Guys, come on. How can you be so toxic? The movie was fine, effects are cool, its just FX artists and actors had no communication, and could not sync their moves together. Gtfo srsly. Everyone stop making comments about how bad the movie is! I can't like them all.

I watched this when i was young so i was cool with the acting. When we first meet Aang in the show he was just a child who cound just show does a AMAZING job of reminding us that we are following a small boy and not a powerful young kid needs his friends to learn and become better. BUT in the movie he doesn't even smile takeing so much away from his child-like happines and never needs Sokka and Katara in this two are just emotionless peapole standing next to barely teaches Aang any waterbending in the film.

 

This old man had the nerve to snitch after getting saved 🤦🏾‍♀️. 3:50 Even after watching the show like 4 times, I'm still realizing new things. Iroh is placing the Air piece over the Fire piece. Originally I thought this was just because air came after fire in the cycle. But know I know it's MEANT to be symbolic because the fire is OVER the air piece just to the left. Pretty cool. You could show a six year old the words “avatar” and “aang” and even they wouldnt butcher it like this movie🤦🏽‍♀️. I watched this show as a kid. Binge watched it when I was about 16 (i realized it was great then. Now I just rewatched it on Netflix as a 23 year old. Wow... I probably cried 10 times throughout the series. After going through real life heartbreak and issues Avatar hits different. Zuko and Uncle Iroh made the show for me as an adult.

The way they pronounced Aang pissed me off. This entire movie: The Uh-vatar Ung once meant General Eeeroh when his nephew captured him, because he lost an Agni Keeeeeey where he got an almost invisible scar. Soooooka eventually came to rescue Ung with his sister who has no personality. The end. I love it when the voice of reason says the most radically funny thing in the cartoon. For me the Avatar just became fabulous the moment Toph came in, and was really great for the rest xD. - Sokka in film had NO sense of humour - Fire Nation people are INDIAN. Fire is another element like Water, Earth, Air in Film but in series it's CHI Energy. Are Those FIGHTS. “As a film student. ” makes me roll my eyes to the back of my head. Okay! That was a Lame ending. There was no point on really how it went too good to great. It pointed out the flaws for almost the whole time. Maybe it's just me.

I don't want to hate on child actors too much but whoever played Aang was terrible imo.

Besides all that season one was made to establish the characters I also think that it shows how naive and immature aang was. He was a kid, he didn't know the extent of the situation. The first season was mainly them exploring new places, just because aang wants to, and little by little he starts to understand what is really happening around him and how bad the war really was. They tried so hard fitting so much into a short span. The movie sucks at explaining anything. This is exactly why The Lord of the Rings was so fricken long. “What went wrong with this film” Me: EVERYTHINGGGGG.
